Golden Farmers' Market
Visitors to the Golden Farmers' Market will find a selection of fresh fruits and vegetables from several local growers. Artisans' wares include pottery, soaps, jewellery, art photography, woodwork and more. Locally produced honey is a popular choice for market-goers. Artisan breads and home made pies are another favourite. ArtWalk
ArtWalk features regional artists and artisans in host “galleries” throughout Whistler Village including cafes, retail outlets, hotels and restaurants. Artists from Lions Bay to Lillooet showcase works of painting, photography, multi-media, fibre arts, sculpture, pottery and jewellery. ArtWalk bridges the gap between tourism, business and culture in this free two-month walking tour that brings local art to high-traffic venues. Wild West Wednesday
Be part of the action at Fort Steele Heritage Town's Wild West Wednesday. The event starts with a hearty BBQ dinner at the International Hotel, followed by an evening train ride aboard the 1077 steam locomotive. It's not your ordinary train ride though, as passengers encounter bandits in the woods & experience an old-fashioned train heist. Dessert is served at the railway viewing platform & a cash bar is available afterwards. Tickets are available for the entire evening or just the train ride. Seating is limited, so please book ahead.

Bird Banding
Mackenzie Nature Obsevatory operates a fall migration monitoring bird banding station at Mugaha March 14 km north of Mackenzie. Volunteers are welcome, however when come to the station please be quite whille in the lab as this is were we band the birds as well we recommend no dogs however if you do bring one ou there please keep it on a leash as we have nets throughout the area. Music at the Cannery 2010
Music at the Cannery is a new music series at the Gulf of Georgia Cannery National Historic Site of Canada. Music at the Cannery is open to all ages. Admission is by donation. Jun 28th: Bluegrass quartet Rhythm Roundup kicks off the series. Jul 12th: Fraser Union performs distinctly Canadian tunes. July 26th: Pancho & Sal promise a fun evening of toe-tapping rhythms. Aug 9th: Western Canadian bluegrass champion Steve Alexander plays his favourite tunes. Aug 23rd: Tim Readman performs folk songs with a dose of humour. Aug 30th: Shanna Lynn performs songs from her debut CD.
